Grounding

Grounding connects you to the earth, emphasizing sensation over mere knowledge. Picture yourself as a tree, rooted deeply yet open wide, embodying stability and receptiveness. It echoes the concept of energy centers, notably the first chakra, crucial for security and self-awareness. Enhance grounding through mindful practices like yoga or barefoot walks, tuning into every touch. Visualize absorbing the earth's energy, boosting your own stability and vitality.

Grounding within the sense of feeling of the soil that you’re walking on. Feeling is the key. Understanding is just a small fraction of the complete dimension. How does it feel for the bones on the feet? Is there pulsation? Knees bend and visualize. Help your mind to create a story that the body is sending singlas. Allow. It’s only you and your body. Anything is possible and anything is OK.

Have you ever seen a tree with big, massive roots coming out of the ground, because of the vastness and thickness? This is the vision of yourself that you want to embody: Roots coming down to the earth, spreading deep into the ground. Enabling you to be firm, stable and safe in your ground, and branches spreading upwards high and wide, open to receive, protect and connect.

Neurobiology also recognizes now the energy centers in our body. Grounding as Muladhara-first chakra: it develops early at the stage of being conceived at birth, and socialization shapes it further. Important factors are socialization, family, sense for existence, security, and physical identity, just to mention some.

If this energy center, which is located at the bottom of the spine, is complete (which is very rare), then you would feel: sense of security, confidence in the world, in yourself, presence, grounded, stable, vital.

So what can you do?

Discharge: shake, dance, yoga, meditation: with the right approach, with the approach of ‘rooting down’, feeling the earth, shaking with the awareness of it!

Walk bare feet but mindfully. Feel your toes, every single one of them, explore the feeling of the senses i.e. if it’s grass: is it wet, is it soft, is it firm = be mindful of your feet wherever and whatever you do.

Food: root vegetables, juiced, raw, cooked.

Visualisation: dive deep to your mind, explore the endless possibilities of your wild mind. Connect to the vast energy of the earth and imagine you can take that energy to lift your energy body. It is available to you.

Love,
Kiki
